1. What Data Do We Collect?
At TempGo, we operate on a minimal data collection principle. The data we collect includes:
Automatically Collected Data
- IP Address: Temporarily processed for rate limiting (abuse prevention) and security purposes.
- Browser Information: Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution are collected for anonymous statistics.
- Cookies: Session management and remembering your temporary email preferences.
- Usage Data: Anonymous usage statistics such as which pages are visited and how long you stay.
Temporary Email Content
- All messages received at your temporary email address are stored for your chosen duration (10 minutes - 24 hours).
- Email content is permanently deleted within 7 days of receipt, regardless of mailbox expiration.
- Message contents are yours alone and are never shared with third parties.
- When the time expires or you create a new temporary email, all messages are permanently deleted.
Account Information (Optional)
- If you create an account, your email address and securely hashed password are stored.
- Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed with bcrypt.
What We Don't Collect
- Name, surname, or identification information
- Phone number
- Address or location information (except approximate location based on IP)
- Credit card or payment information (our service is completely free)
2. How Is Your Data Used?
We use collected data only for the following purposes:
- Providing and improving our temporary email service
- Spam protection and abuse prevention (rate limiting)
- Measuring service quality and improving user experience
- Fulfilling our legal obligations
- Creating anonymous statistics (e.g., daily active users, most used browsers)
Important Note: We never use your data for marketing, never sell or rent it to third parties.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
At TempGo, we use cookies only for our service to function properly:
- Essential Cookies: Required to manage your temporary email session and remember your preferences. Without these cookies, our service cannot function.
- Advertising Cookies: Google AdSense may set its own cookies to show relevant advertisements. See section 7 for details.
Cookie Preferences: You can disable cookies in your browser settings. However, this may cause our temporary email service to not work properly.
4. Data Security and Retention Periods
Your data security is our top priority. The security measures we take:
- All data transmission is protected with SSL/TLS encryption
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt
- Our databases are protected with firewalls and access controls
Data Retention Periods
- Email content: Permanently deleted within 7 days of receipt
- IP and traffic logs: Retained for 2 years as required by Turkish Law No. 5651
- Account data: Retained until your deletion request or account closure
- Cookie data: During session duration (maximum 30 days)

TempGo is a free service. To sustain our service, we use Google AdSense advertisements.

8. Zero Tolerance Policy
TempGo has a zero tolerance policy for illegal content. Any mailbox or account found to contain illegal material will result in immediate and permanent ban.
Warning: Using TempGo for any illegal purpose is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent account termination.
9. Children's Privacy
TempGo does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years of age. Parents who believe their child is using our service can contact us and request deletion of the data.
10. Policy Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. In case of significant changes:
